SFV Schweizerischer Fussballverband

The Swiss Football League (Schweizerischer Fussballverband (SFV)) is the umbrella organisation of Swiss football (soccer) clubs. It was founded in 1895 and in 1904 was among the seven national associations that created the world football association FIFA. Today, the SFV is the most significant sports association in the country. The SFV is divided into three departments and includes 1,414 clubs, 12,887 teams as well as 231,149 players. The registered office of the association is the House of Swiss Football (Haus des Schweizer Fussballs) in Muri, Switzerland. Peter Gilliéron has been the association´s president since June 13th, 2009.
